StyleArc silk Harlow top / Harlow top en soie

Hi everybody,
I love StyleArc patterns and I wish I had more time to try more of their designs; fortunately or unfortunately I usually repeat the patterns I'm happy with, and since I love their Harlow top so much I've already sewn a second version - this time in silk charmeuse (the first blog post is here).
The Harlow is a simple pattern with very few seams, especially if like me you choose to let go of the neckline facings and make a bias binding instead. No facings equals no CB seam either. A garment with only a few seams and simple lines better be well drafted 'cause the design relies on very few elements to work, and that's just what StyleArc delivered with this top: a simple, well balanced elegant top with a trapeze shape and bell sleeves that are still very much in fashion this year.

The lines of the Harlow top scream for a drapey, flowy fabric, and for this version I selected an italian silk charmeuse (with some lycra) that I got from Fabric …
